He has made Harrisburg his home for 15 years and remains committed to serving the community at large through numerous community engagements. Currently, Ben is the President of the Board of Directors for Open Stage of Harrisburg. Ben also serves as Vice President on the board for the Human Resource Professionals of Central PA, and the board of the Capital Region Stonewall Democrats. In 2013, he was recognized as one of the “Top 40 under 40” by the Central Penn Business Journal. Ben was elected to Harrisburg City Council in November of 2013 and was sworn in on January 6th, 2014. He currently serves as Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee.

    Very Reverend Robert Gillelan, Jr, was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Harrisburg in 1989. In his first career, he was a flight attendant with Pan Am World Airways from 1979-1984.

Fr. Bob, as he is known to his parishioners, worked out of Honolulu, Hawaii, New York City and London, England. Fr. Bob attended the Pontifical College Josephinum in Columbus, Ohio. His Diocesan assignments have included San Juan Baptista and Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Lancaster, St. Leo The Great Parish, Rohrerstown; St. Joseph Parish, Hanover, and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, York. In 2012, Fr. Bob, was appointed Pastor of Prince of Peace Parish in Steelton, and Vicar General/Moderator of the Curia. With the death of Bishop Joseph McFadden, he was elected Diocesan Administrator and served in that role until the appointment of a new Bishop in March of this year and is also the Vicar General of Diocese for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg, PA.  Fr. Bob has been a member of the Diocesan Hispanic Apostolate, the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference and he has represented the Diocese nationally and Internationally in relation to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Holy See. In his free time, Fr. Bob enjoys spending time with his dog, Jake, playing the trumpet, jogging, golfing and reading.

Julia’s job is all about entertainment – meaning a typical day could include hunting for ghosts, coordinating fashion shoots, interviewing local musicians or recapping the latest zany television show. She has interviewed national and local luminaries including Backstreet Boy, Brian Littrell, and veteran comedian, Bob Newhart. She once took ballroom dance lessons, where she was told she danced like an elephant. As part of Dancing with the Central PA Stars, she hopes to show that dance teacher how graceful an elephant can really be – and to help out a good cause in the process. A vote for Hatmaker is a vote for elephants everywhere. Julia earned a Communications Degree Communications degree from Richmond, The American International University in London.

She enjoys covering stories that help viewers. Her coverage of a local family’s struggle to rebuild after Tropical Storm Lee destroyed their home earned her an Emmy nomination. Other career highlights have included playing a key role in abc27′s award winning coverage of the Jerry Sandusky Trial, and traveling to Honduras with local doctors and surgeons to document their life-saving medical mission. A Pennsylvania native, Kendra grew up in New Cumberland and attended Shippensburg University where she received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism with a minor in speech. Kendra has been honored by the Associated Press and has also been nominated for several regional Emmys. Kendra is married with three children.

    Tom joined the CBS 21 family as Chief Meteorologist in 2002. He is a well-traveled broadcaster having worked in cities from Maine to California and Florida to Pennsylvania.

Tom has won many awards for his work including an Emmy and numerous AP Awards. He is a big fan of PA weather with its four distinct seasons and the challenges that go with them. Tom is known for his involvement in the community. Tom has covered major weather events in Central Pennsylvania including the devastating Cambelltown tornado in 2004 as well as the record snowfall in 2010. He is on the Board of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, works with CBS 21 helping the MDA, March of Dimes and other groups. And you can often find him in our schools teaching kids all about the weather. Tom lives in Harrisburg with his wife and three daughters. Tom is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and holds seals of approval from both organizations.

    Tom DeWall recently retired as the executive director of the 3,000-member Pennsylvania Psychological Association. He maintains a practice as a government relations consultant representing the association.

Prior to his 26 years at the helm of PPA he was the executive director of Common Cause for ten years, a citizens lobby working for more open and accountable government. He has a BA degree from Carleton College in Minnesota and an MA from Howard University, both in history. Originally from Minnesota, he has lived in Central Pennsylvania for more than 40 years and currently resides in Carlisle with his wife, Carole. Tom has been a singer all of his life and currently sings with Cantate Carlisle. His three children are all musicians, specializing in viola, violin, cello, and guitar.
